Whether your first or 100th time having Reflexology, you’ll always be treated well at Solely You Reflexology.
What do Reflexology Treatments involve?
For the treatment it is recommended to wear loose, comfortable clothing. You will only need to take off your socks and shoes to have the treatment. I recommend that you bring a fresh pair of socks with you for after the treatment, as this helps maintain the cleared energy pathways.
Its also highly beneficial that you bring the Patient Information Leaflet (PILs) for any medication you are on, as this will also help inform your treatment plan.
Once you are comfortable, your feet will be washed with hot towels and dried, then a lotion is applied to moisturise the feet and help me work the reflex areas.
A heated blanket is available on the chair, and can be adjusted to your personal preference. There will also be an aromatherapy diffuser available to really help the relaxation sink in.
Treatments can last up to 90 minutes. I would recommend not having anything strenuous planned after a session.
I do keep treatment records, which will be stored under new GDPR standards, as these help us monitor the changes in the feet and balance the reflex areas that need it most.
What treatments do I offer?
I offer a range of facial, hand, foot, treatments. I can now offer Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage. Please click on the treatment menu to get further details.
What’s the Silent Treatment’ option?
“Silence is not the absence of something, but the presence of everything.” Gordon Hempton
Silence is commonly used in many spiritual practices as a means to clear our minds and be more at tune with ourselves.
This means, beyond welcoming and bidding you farewell, that there is no expectation at all of conversation during the actual treatment itself. In fact, quite the opposite! I won’t ask you about your weekend, or the holidays you have planned next year, because this treatment time is for you.
You can just sit back, relax, and enjoy for the full 30, 60, or 90 minutes, depending on your selected treatment, without having to worry about making conversation if you don’t want to.
How silent ‘The Silent Treatment’ is is led by you. If you change your mind, want to talk, or want to ask questions you are always welcome. There will however be opportunities for this after the treatment has ended.
Please note, there will be a few occasions where I need to give instructions or check pressure during the treatment to ensure you are comfortable and to enable me to properly work the reflex areas. This is however minimal, and, unless you indicate otherwise, will be the only time we converse during the treatment itself.
If you would like to have ‘The Silent Treatment’ please indicate this when booking your appointment. I will then ask before the treatment starts if you would still like this option, in case you have changed your mind.
How do I pay for treatments?
Please note from April 2019 I will be asking for advanced payments for treatments. This can be made via BACS, details of which I can supply when you get in contact.
I am unable to accept cash payments.
How much Reflexology do I need?
Reflexology has a cumulative effect, meaning the more sessions you have the more you will benefit.
Generally speaking, it is recommended to have 1 session of Reflexology a week for 6 weeks, and then to follow this with maintenance treatments every 2-5 weeks.
This helps to more fully flush out toxins and maintain lower stress levels and homeostasis, as well as start to get on top of your health concerns.
Whilst an individual treatment will still have benefits, these tend to be more profound and last longer if an intensive course of treatments is completed initially.
As such, from December 2018, I now run a loyalty card/scheme where every sixth treatment you receive is completely free of charge.
So go on. Walk this way to a brighter future!
*Please note, Solely You Reflexology has a cancellation policy. If you are unable to attend your appointment you will need to cancel at least 24 hours in advance to prevent being charged the full cost of the treatment. For further information, please do not hesitate to get in contact.
